3rd Annual HomeGrown Halloween Parade

October 27, 2013 4pm

Downtown Decatur

What is the HomeGrown Halloween Parade?

An annual community event in downtown Decatur brought to you by the 100+ local artists of HomeGrown Decatur. With a mission to encourage creativity and collaboration, build community and give participants an opportunity to "let their freak flag fly" while having a bang up good time.

Why have a HomeGrown Halloween Parade?

To howl at the moon.

To strut our stuff.

To shamelessly promote HomeGrown Decatur as your go-to FunkArtPorium for locally produced art and gifts.

To organize a community celebration that is edgy. But not x-rated.

Family friendly. But not a yawner for the college kids and young adults in our community.

And that brings both city residents and Decatur visitors together as they enjoy the unique flavor of Decatur.

Where is the HomeGrown Halloween Parade?

The parade route begins at the Decatur Post Office parking lot at 520 W Ponce de Leon Ave. It travels east on Ponce de Leon, turns right on Church St, travels right by the best Local FunkArtPorium (a.k.a. HomeGrown Decatur), turns right on Trinity and ends in front of Decatur City Hall on the south end of the square. Check out our parade map here
